PRAYING
. . . . for a radiant smile!
Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land (Ps. 85:9).
Father, so often we think about salvation as a preparation for death, rather than abundant life here and now. Forgive us for thinking that Jesus is just a ticket to heaven and that conversion is related more to dying than living. May we not be barely saved, but radically saved. Make Christ real to us now, today. May we walk in the Spirit. May our very life be rooted in the reality of His presence. Order our lives so people can see that Christ provides a rich and guilt-free way to live on this side of eternity. May our joy and peace, our fullness of life, attract others who see faith as boring and dull. Forgive us for not living fully in the overflow of the Christ-life. Overwhelm the world around us with the sound of Your gift of joy. Reflect through us glory and beauty. May our faces shine, having been with You at the start of this day. Let heaven come today. Let Your kingdom break into my world today. Manifest Yourself. Let us taste the glory of the kingdom to come, its peace and power, its love and life. Forgive us for postponing the idea of glory and placing it only in the future. You have ascended into heaven. You are our king in exile. Be glorified. Convince the world that You live. Let our cities behold You. Do something so wondrous, that every one wonders! Fill our city with the knowledge of the glory of God. Come Lord. We want to see Your glory. Show us Your glory. Show our city that You are alive. Call them to You. Amen
